At Estancia Don Silvano you will experience the traditional Fiesta Gaucha on an authentic country day just an hour outside of Buenos Aires. This Ranch belongs to a traditional gaucho family descendants of Italians whose history goes back four generations back when they arrive in Argentina and settle in the Pampa region. Among them was Silvano who was still a child and who through sheer hard work became the owner of the ranch that bears his name. The Estancia is 380 hectares of land including a Victorian house from the 30´s and it became a lodge when friends of Don Silvano who always frequented the place, ask him to stay for more than a day due to the beauty of the place. The first two rooms were made available in addition to the cattle activity and nowadays is a well known rancho lodge providing entertainment and relaxation to all visitors through a fun and complete program.
This fun day tour to the Don Silvano Estancia begins with the tasting of typical homemade empanadas and toasts with a delicious Malbec wine. Then you will explore the wonderful landscape riding on horseback or being in a carriage, discovering the beautiful Victorian house and visiting the bakery and the museum or even participating in the milking of the cows with the local gauchos’ help, and then enjoy a magnificent Argentine barbecue including various cuts of meat, chorizo and black pudding with exquisite salads, provencal potatoes, drinks and desserts all accompanied by an unforgettable show of folk dances like samba, chacarera, malambo con boleadoras, chamamé and tango .
This wonderful gaucho party continues with demonstrations of various gaucho skills such as the famous "carrera de sortijas" (ring race), a traditional gaucho sport from the Rio de la Plata area of South America, and horse taming. The visit culminates with a traditional snack made of mate cocido, cakes, and fried cakes while enjoying a beautiful sunset. Coming to Estancia Don Silvano is a unique experience that is ideal for the whole family.
