Itinerary Description

Starting Point: Plaza Regocijo, Cusco

We begin our exciting journey at the beautiful Plaza Regocijo, located just steps away from the impressive Plaza de Armas de Cusco. Here, we'll gather with our group and board a comfortable tourist transport that will take us to the charming village of Cruzpata. The road journey lasts approximately 50 minutes and will drop us off at the base for our amazing ATVs.

Training and Preparation

Upon arrival in Cruzpata, our experienced guide will provide a detailed introduction to the chosen route and give you time to familiarize yourself with handling the ATVs. After a 30-minute training session, we'll be ready to embark on our adventure.

First Route: Laguna Huaypo

For those opting for the first route, we'll head towards the stunning Laguna Huaypo, located in the district of Eqqeco near the charming village of Chinchero, at an altitude of 3,500 meters above sea level. For approximately 2 hours, you'll explore the surroundings of this wonderful lagoon, stretching over 1 kilometer in length. Learn about the legends surrounding this lagoon while marveling at the breathtaking views of the majestic mountain ranges of Salkantay, Veronica, and Chicon. Additionally, enjoy various activities such as fishing and water sports.

Second Route: Moray Ruins

If you choose the second route, we'll head to the Moray ruins. This fantastic 2-hour ATV tour will take you around the surroundings of these impressive Inca ruins. Later, you can explore the interior of the site on foot for 20 minutes. The archaeological center of Moray is located 7 kilometers from Maras and consists of three enormous circular terraces, each with its own history to discover. Immerse yourself in the history of this place as you learn about its past as an agricultural laboratory and marvel at the complex and advanced irrigation system developed by the Incas.

Visit to the Maras Salt Mines

After exploring either Laguna Huaypo or Moray, we'll return to the base to drop off the ATVs and take transport to the famous Maras Salt Mines. Located just 40 kilometers northwest of the majestic city of Cusco in the province of Urubamba, you'll encounter over 3,000 natural salt pools dating back to the Inca era. At an altitude of 3,300 meters above sea level, these pools are a true marvel of Inca engineering and construction. You'll be amazed to see how salty water flows beneath the pools and evaporates, leaving salt crystals that form a unique and spectacular landscape.

Return to Cusco

At the end of this fun-filled experience, we'll return to the city of Cusco, dropping you off at the final point of the excursion, Plaza Regocijo.

Immerse yourself in a unique ATV adventure in the Sacred Valley just minutes from Cusco, includes guide and transfer!
