Tour Description
The tour begins with boarding at Abraão Beach on Ilha Grande, aboard a speedboat that will take us to discover some of the island`s most stunning natural landscapes. During the trip, we`ll visit idyllic beaches, natural pools, and crystal-clear waters, with special stops for swimming, snorkeling, and enjoying the beauty of nature.
Our first stop will be at the Acaiá Grotto , one of Ilha Grande`s most impressive natural phenomena. Located approximately 8 meters below sea level, this cave hides an extraordinary spectacle: the water takes on an intense fluorescent turquoise hue thanks to the sunlight reflected inside. In the darkness, luminous flashes resembling tiny gemstones can be seen, creating a unique visual experience. The cave is approximately 30 meters wide and has an average height of just 1 meter. Access is by land, through a narrow opening in the rock, with a section that requires crouching and, at times, crawling. Because the access is challenging and dark, it is important to have a flashlight and be aware that the visit requires a certain level of physical agility. The path to the entrance is relatively easy, with small ascents and descents through the vegetation. Estimated time: 1 hour.
We`ll continue to the famous Lagoa Azul , one of the most popular natural pools on Ilha Grande. Its predominantly blue, crystal-clear waters create the perfect setting for swimming, floating, and snorkeling. It`s an ideal spot to observe large schools of small fish swimming around visitors or simply relax and enjoy this idyllic landscape. Time spent: 1 hour.
The next stop will be Lagoa Verde , a charming spot with shallow, calm waters and beautiful shades of green, located on the northwest coast of Ilha Grande, near Enseada de Araçatiba. Its crystal-clear waters are ideal for snorkeling and exploring marine life. With a bit of luck, you might spot sea turtles and starfish, making this stop an even more special experience for nature lovers. Time spent: 1 hour.
To conclude our tour, we`ll visit Grumixama , a charming little beach that hides a true natural haven. Less frequented than other destinations on the island, it offers a tranquil and almost exclusive atmosphere, with serene waters and abundant marine life. Here you can relax, enjoy the sound of the sea, watch the trees sway in the breeze, and completely disconnect amidst a privileged natural environment. Time spent: 40 minutes.
A journey full of discoveries, amazing landscapes and crystal clear waters, ideal for those who want to discover some of the most special natural treasures of Ilha Grande.
