Take a deep breath while driving through high-altitude Andean landscapes in the north. This package has two week adventurous tour takes you through some of Argentina’s most beautiful and diverse landscapes.

You’ll start your tour in Argentina’s never-sleeping capital city of Buenos Aires before heading right down into Patagonia to Ushuaia on the island of Tierra del Fuego which is located just at the end of the World From there you’ll fly to El Calafate, the door to the stunning landscapes of the Patagonian Glacier National Park before heading north to the amazing Iguazú Falls on the borders of Brazil and Paraguay.

You’ll continue your Argentinean odyssey exploring the colorful landscapes and native cultures around Salta and Jujuy in Argentina’s northern desert region. Experience the stunning contrasts and beauty of Argentina on this Odyssey tour.

Day 1: Arrival in Argentina
Buenos Aires

Upon arrival at Argentina's international airport in Buenos Aires you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to spend at your leisure, either relaxing at your hotel or exploring the city.

Ask your Argentina travel specialist about a visit to Recoleta Cemetery, a beautiful historical site surrounded by parks and cafes and a busy arts and crafts market during weekends.



Day 2: Exploring the “South American Paris”
Buenos Aires

After breakfast at your hotel you'll be able to head out and explore Buenos Aires. Our service includes a half day bike or walking tour of the capital's most important buildings and neighborhoods with one of our local guides, including the city centre where you'll see the Obelisco and the Casa Rosada before continuing on to La Boca, San Telmo, Recoleta and Palermo

At night, you will attend to one of the most traditional Tango Shows in the city, where dinner and Argentina red wine will be served.



 Day 3: Flight to the End of the World
 Buenos Aires to Ushuaia

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia in the far south of Patagonia. Nicknamed 'The City at the End of the World', Ushuaia lies on the shores of the Beagle Channel and is the capital of the sparsely-populated, mountainous and windswept island of Tierra del Fuego. You will have the rest of the day to explore the city on your own or take a boat ride along the Beagle Channel.



Day 4: The Land of Fire
Around Ushuaia

After breakfast, we propose to discover the true nature of the secret within the Tierra del Fuego National Park. With our specialized and extraordinary guides it is possible to get to know in detail this recovered paradise, where the mountains are accessible from the sea and the fresh water of rivers and lakes are mixed with the sea. On this tour you get to walk through the forest, canoeing down rivers and across lagoons to get into the famous Lapataia Bay.


 
Day 5: Lakes Off-Road
 Around Ushuaia

Lakes Off-Road is our entertaining, intense and friendly way to discover the secrets hidden behind the Southern Andes Range. Far away from the routine of the conventional excursions, it is just the right thing to do for any kind of traveler. Have a relaxing day, traveling and having fun on a trip with some serious off-road experiences! From above the Andes, we’ll get a view of Lago Escondido (Hidden Lake), a little wonder that hides at the bottom of a valley. Afterwards, the enormous and fascinating Lake Fagnano will be the main attraction of the day.



Day 6: Flight to the glaciers
Ushuaia to El Calafate

After breakfast you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to El Calafate. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel where you can relax for the remainder of the day. El Calafate is a picturesque village close to Lago Argentino which is one of Patagonia's largest and most stunning lakes as well as the entrance to the amazing land of the glaciers.



Day 7: The Perito Moreno Glacier

One of the most interesting activities that can be done in the glacier is the Minitrekking on top of the Perito Moreno Glacier. After geting on the boat to cross one of the arms of the lake, we will begin the trek to the forest up to the foot of the glacier.

Here you will put on the crampons that will allow you to initiate the trek on the ice. This activity is particularly great for the contact that you will have with the glacier; its peaks, caves and small interior lagoons of intense blue color. Besides it offers a marvelous sight of the wall of the Glacier and of the lake.



Day 8: Patagonia at your fingertips
Around El Calafate

Today you have a free day to explore the beautiful landscapes in and around the Patagonia Glacier National Park. There are many options to choose between, including hiking across the glaciers, cruising through the national park on Lake Argentino or visiting a Patagonian estancia to learn about life in this far-flung corner of the world. At the estancias you'll be able to explore the grounds, learn about their history and go horseback riding or hiking through stunning countryside.


 
Day 9: North to Iguazu
El Calafate to Iguazu Falls

Verdana Following breakfast in your hotel in El Calafate you will be met for a transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazu, the small town close to the spectacular Iguazu Falls. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your comfortable hotel in the town and the rest of the day will be free for you to relax in preparation for a full day of exploring tomorrow. 



 Day 10: Exploring the falls

After breakfast you will be met for your excursion into the Iguazu National Park to spend the day exploring the falls,  the surrounding rivers and jungle. The park consists of various trails that take you through the jungle onto wooden walkways which are built a few meters above the jungle floor and the waterways. These raised platforms protect the natural habitat of the jungle wildlife and allow for spectacular views.



 Day 11: Salta La Linda
Iguazu to Salta

After breakfast you'll be driven to the airport for your flight to Salta where you'll be met and transferred to your hotel. The city of Salta is often referred to as Salta La Linda (meaning Salta the beautiful) due to its well-preserved colonial architecture and year-round warm climate. In the afternoon you will take a guided city tour visiting Salta's most important buildings and churches.



Day 12: The Road to the Clouds
Salta to Purmamarca

Today you will begin a two day excursion taking in many of north-western Argentina's geographical highlights. First you'll take the road to the clouds, which follows the route of the famous railway track The Train to the Clouds up through the Quebrada del Toro to San Antonio de los Cobres high in the mountains. Overnight will take place at Purmamarca, in the heart of the Quebrada de Humahuaca.



 Day 13: Exploring Northern Argentina
Purmamarca to Salta

After breakfast and a visit to the handicraft market in Purmamarca you'll continue your trip up through the colorful hills of the region, passing through small villages of whitewashed adobe houses and historical churches.

In the afternoon you'll arrive at Humahuaca, the largest town between Jujuy and the Bolivian border. Founded in 1591 on the site of a major pre-Hispanic settlement, Humahuaca is a typical Andean colonial town, with narrow streets and one storey adobe buildings.




 Day 14: Cafayate Daytrip

After breakfast, you'll be met for your full day tour to Cafayate. Heading out of the city to the south, you'll pass through large expanses of tobacco plantations as you head towards the wine producing town of Cafayate.

Upon arrival, we will visit a winery with wine tasting included and then we will have lunch. We will take a tour around the city and then you'll spend some time in the handicraft market. In the afternoon we will return to Salta through Las Conchas Gorge, stopping in “Posta de las Cabras”, an inn well known for its goat cheese.



 Day 15: Back to capital city
Salta to Buenos Aires 

This morning you'll be met at your hotel and transferred to the airport in Salta for your return flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival at the domestic airport you'll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Buenos Aires.

You'll have free time in the afternoon for some souvenier shopping or to just relax and explore some more of the city.


 Day 16: Leaving Argentina
Buenos Aires

After breakfast at your hotel you'll be met for your transfer to the international airport and your flight back home.

  • What to pack?: In Iguazu, we recommend bringing a bathing suit or light clothing, some people wear a waterproof jacket and a good idea would be a long sleeve as protection against sun and mosquito bites.In Salta, we recommend bringing a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, money for personal expenses.
