Itinerary Description

Hotel Pickup

Our tour starts with pickup from your hotel located in downtown Cusco. From here, we will take you on a comfortable and safe excursion to discover the historical and architectural treasures of the city and its surroundings.

Visit to Qurikancha Temple

The first stop of our tour is the Qurikancha Temple, also known as the Golden Temple. This site was one of the most important religious centers of the Inca Empire and was built on a base of solid gold. During the Spanish conquest, the conquerors used this base to build the church and Convent of Santo Domingo, creating a fascinating blend of Inca and Spanish cultures.

Exploration of Cusco Cathedral

Next, we will visit the majestic Cusco Cathedral, located in the Plaza de Armas. This impressive building is a testament to the religious art of the Cusco School and has been declared a World Cultural Heritage Site and Historical Monument of Peru. Here you can admire its stunning architecture and beautiful religious artworks.

Plaza de Armas

The beauty of the Plaza de Armas will surprise you. Surrounded by shops and imposing churches, this main square was once a lagoon that dried up during the Inca period and was used for important events. Today, it is the main tourist meeting point in Cusco, full of life and activity.

Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Complex

We will continue the tour by visiting the Sacsayhuamán archaeological complex, an imposing Inca fortress located just 2 kilometers from downtown Cusco. Here you can appreciate the huge carved stones that fit together perfectly without the use of mortar, an achievement said to have been carried out by more than 20,000 men over a period of 70 years. Sacsayhuamán offers incredible landscapes and is home to llamas and hawks.

Religious Center of Qenqo

Our next stop is the religious center of Qenqo, a place of worship where the Incas revered their gods such as the sun, the moon, and the earth. This site features fascinating underground galleries and a semicircular amphitheater.

Military Complex of Puca Pucará

Next, we will visit the military complex of Puca Pucará, known as the "Red Fortress" due to the reddish color of its stones. This site served as a control and defense post for the Inca Empire.

Archaeological Center of Tambomachay

Finally, we will head to the archaeological center of Tambomachay, also known as the "Bath of the Inca". This place is famous for its aqueducts and waterfalls, which originate from nearby springs, demonstrating the advanced Inca engineering in water management.

Return to Cusco

At the end of the sightseeing tour, we will transfer you back to downtown Cusco, where we will drop you off at Plaza Regocijo, one street away from Plaza de Armas.
