- The City Tour in Cusco begins in the center of the city with a visit to the impressive Cathedral in whose foundations there is an Inca enclosure. In addition, this Cathedral is famous throughout Peru for the richness of its paintings with religious scenes of the current of art known as the Cusco School, made by Quechua natives in the seventeenth century.
- You will also visit the Temple of the Holy Family and the Church of the Triumph.
- Then you will continue this tour to the nearby ruins in Koricancha also called "Temple of the Sun" one of the most important and representative places of the Inca Culture.
- After this visit, you will move to the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, one of the most emblematic constructions of the Incas erected by Pachacutec in the fifteenth century. It is an impressive fortress that was built with huge polished rocks and whose purpose was to protect the entrance to the city. Its architecture will leave you speechless.
- You will continue to Quenqo, an archaeological complex located 4 kilometers from the city of Cusco, which served as a ceremonial and ritual center, a kind of amphitheater where sacrifices were performed.
- Finally, you will visit Puka Pukara, an ancient tambo, a guard post along the Inca roads.
- After visiting these ruins, you will return to your hotel in the center of the city.
