Itinerary
Cotopaxi is one of the largest and most beautiful active volcanoes in the world, with an elevation of 5,897 m.a.s.l., is the second highest summit in Ecuador. Do you want to meet it? We ca take care of that!.
This Tour to the Cotopaxi National Park begins once you are picked up at your hotel in Quito very early in the morning by the “South Pan American Highway” appreciating beautiful landscapes and diverse ecosystems, until you reach this fascinating national park full of a lush flora and fauna, you will have the opportunity to run into condors, foxes, llamas and other animals in their natural surroundings.
Within the ecosystems of this park, you will have the opportunity get to know and admire the impressive active Cotopaxi volcano. You will also visit the Park’s Museum, the Limpiopungo Lagoon and take an interesting walk to the Chuquirahuas forest at 4,200 meters above sea level. Throughout the tour you will be able to hear interesting facts about the park from a naturalist
The next stop will be at the Quilotoa Volcano, which has an impressive turquoise lagoon in its crater, thus becoming one of the most beautiful landscapes in Ecuador. Here you will take a short walk to appreciate the magnificent view of the volcano and take incredible photographs.
Finally, you will have free time to enjoy lunch and recharge. Then we will take you back to your hotel in downtown Quito.
