Itinerary
The city of Manizales also called "The Open Doors" is recognized for its impressive topography, university and cultural life, natural parks, thermal waters, beautiful sunsets and for the kindness of its people. As the capital of the Department of Caldas, Manizales has become the industrial heart of coffee in Colombia, within the region that is now known as the Coffee Triangle.
During this Classic City Tour through Manizales, you will get to know one of the most amazing active volcanoes of the continent: El Nevado del Ruiz. The City Tour begins in the historic center, where you will visit the Plaza de Bolívar and the impressive Gothic Cathedral Basilica Nuestra Señora del Rosario. You will have the opportunity to climb the Polish Corridor, at the top of which you will find an impressive panoramic view of the city.
The next stop is in Cyprus, the highest neighborhood in Manizales. You will be able to climb a modern tower and contemplate the sky with one of its telescopes, as well as observing 10 municipalities of the coffee axis. Then, you will visit the famous Monument of the Colonizers, where much of the history of the city is recorded.
In case all this seems insignificant to you, you will get to know the Santander neighborhood where you will visit the famous Juan Valdéz coffee shop, and taste a delicious cup of this popular infusion. Recharge your batteries to climb the cable car up the hill of gold, a fun ride that will show you the different faces of Manizales. At the end of the tour, we will take you back to where we left.
