Itinerary Classic City Tour through Punta Arenas
Punta Arenas, capital of the Magallanes Region, is the most populated and cosmopolitan city of the Chilean Patagonia. With striking homes and beautiful natural scenery, this city has many tourist, social and cultural alternatives. Go ahead and discover this amazing city with Daytours4u!
Our first stop will be at the Plaza de Armas of Punta Arenas Muñoz Gamero so you can admire the Monument to Hernando de Magallanes and the sculpture of the rising conqueror over the image of a Selknam (one). Note that the Figure of the Indian is waiting for you to kiss or touch its feet symbolizing that someday you will return to this place.
Then, you will leave in the direction of Cerro de la Cruz, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Punta Arenas with its colorful roofs, the Strait of Magellan and Tierra del Fuego. During this part of the tour, you can visit the duty-free zone to buy different products at very accessible prices.
At our last stop, you will visit the Maggiorino Borgatello Salesian Museum, where all the cultural and ecological wealth of the region is displayed, divided into different sections: ethnology, archeology, history, flora, and fauna, among others.
As we take you back to your accommodation, we will pass by the coast on the side of the Strait of Magellan. The tour will last about three and a half hours in total. Enjoy it!
