Itinerary Guided visit to the Paracas National Reserve

Our visit to the Paracas National Reserve begins once we pick you up at your hotel located in the city. You will explore the wonders of this natural peninsula with its unique ecosystem, home to a great variety of flora and fauna, such as birds and sea lions.

This beautiful bay is located a few kilometers from the city of Paracas, and has extensive deserts and incredible beaches, let yourself be amazed by this jewel of nature!

  • The Paracas National Reserve is a protected area since 1975 and has great marine wealth, unique for the icy currents or Humboldt current.

Tour in the Paracas National Reserve

In this visit we start by going to the Supay viewpoint giving you a first impression of its beautiful cliffs and coasts. Then we will go to its famous Cathedral, this is a very important rock formation declared a World Heritage Site. It stands out for the great variety of flora and fauna that inhabits it, you can observe various types of mammals, reptiles and birds. Of which stand out sea lions, otters, and dolphins.

  • The Cathedral was affected in 2007, after being the epicenter of a strong earthquake.

We will visit beautiful beaches such as Playa Roja, whose intense red sand is the product of millenary volcanic eruptions, which made it one of the most unusual places in the world. Then we will visit Playa Yumaque, a moon-shaped inlet, where you can observe seagulls and dolphins.

Finally we will head to the Flamingo Viewpoint. Depending on the time of the year, we will be able to see these migratory birds during their mating season.

We will continue our visit to the Paracas National Reserve in the interpretation room. We will be told about the importance of the reserve, its history, the type of flora and fauna that inhabited and still inhabits it, and you will be able to observe the marine fossils that are exhibited in this room. Then, Playa Lagunillas will surprise you with its spectacular fishermen's beach where you can enjoy a delicious fresh ceviche (optional).

Finally, after enjoying this interesting visit and appreciating the wonders of the marine landscape, we will return to the city of Paracas to drop you off at your hotel.
