Arequipa is a Peruvian city known as the White City for its ancient constructions based on volcanic rocks.
- Arequipa is the second most important city in Peru after Lima, the capital. It is a beautiful town, founded in 1540 by the Spaniards in a place specially chosen for its natural beauty and welcoming climate.

The City tour Arequipa and Santa Catalina Monastery, begins with the transfer from the hotel to go to the center of the city. Once you are picked up at the hotel you will be taken to the starting point of the City Tour: the Plaza de Armas, one of the most beautiful in Peru, and neighbor of the imposing Arequipa Cathedral built in the seventeenth century and rebuilt after several earthquakes.
From there you will move to the Monastery of Santa Catalina, an authentic medieval cloister built in 1579 and still in use today. This medieval complex of 20,000 square meters is still in use today. Its streets and cloisters are full of colorful flowers and frescoed walls. It is one of the most fascinating religious buildings in Peru that you cannot miss.
Then you will visit the Compañía de Jesús Church (1590), considered a classic example of the local baroque architecture that keeps in its interior an exceptional sample of paintings and murals.
Finally, you will visit the districts of Yanahuara to visit the popular market of Antiquilla, which today maintains the colonial infrastructure of the old Arequipa and then continue to the Plaza de Yanahuara and its viewpoint, where you can have a panoramic view of the city of Arequipa.
The tour ends with a transfer back to the hotel. There, you will have free time to enjoy the amenities that the hotel has to offer.
