Itinerary Exclusive Package Lake Titicaca and Nearby Islands
Day 1: Uros Floating Islands and Amantani Island
This two-day itinerary to Lake Titicaca and nearby islands starts early in the morning. We will pick you up at your hotel in Puno and head to the port to take the regular lake transportation.
The first visit is to the Floating Islands of Uros. These islets have been artificially constructed using totora reeds as the main raw material and have a total of 80 islets.
In the Floating Islands of Uros you will have enough time to interact with the locals and learn more about their culture and traditions.
We will sail across the vast Lake Titicaca to reach the next stop, Amantani Island.
- It is home to about 800 families and has important ceremonial centers where shamans, who see the future through coca leaves, perform various rituals.
After lunch and spending time with its inhabitants, we will go to Pacha Tata which is located at an altitude of 4,100 meters above sea level, here you can visit the Mystic Ceremonial Center which is the most important of Lake Titicaca.
Marvel at the sunset accompanied by this spectacular scenery!
To conclude this first day we will have dinner with the locals and you can discover more about their traditions and lifestyles.
We will spend the night in a typical basic rural house to rest from this first impressive day of adventure.
Day 2: Tequile Island
On the second day of this trip to Lake Titicaca and nearby islands, after a typical Andean breakfast, we embark to Tequile Island by boat.
On this tour you will have spectacular views of Lake Titicaca surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery bathed by the blue sky.
Upon arrival at Tequile Island, you will be greeted with a traditional cultural exhibition by its inhabitants.
You will enjoy a lunch accompanied by local dances and music. In addition, you will have a photo session with typical costumes to close the second day.
Finally, we embark back to the port of Puno to transfer you to your hotel in the city.
