Itinerary of the Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour

The tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco is a unique opportunity to discover the native gastronomy and the history of one of the most relevant empires that have ruled the lands of South America, the Inca people.

Our trip begins early in the morning, we will pick you up at your hotel to begin the incredible journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This is located in the province of Urubamba, 15 kilometers northeast of the city of Cusco.

Throughout the tour we will be able to observe the typical fauna of the region such as Andean camelids, llamas and alpacas.

The tour has four strategic stops that will allow you to experience an unforgettable experience in the Sacred Inca Valley.

    Pisac Village

The first stop will be in the town of Pisac. This town is located 33 kilometers from the city of Cusco. It is known as the gateway to the Sacred Valley and is recognized as an ideal place for spiritual retreats.

There we will visit its famous handicraft market and see impressive archeological remains, located in the upper part of the town.

        The city of Urubamba

Our second stop will be in the city of Urubamba, one of the most important cities in the Sacred Valley of the Incas and recognized as the world capital of corn. Here we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in a traditional restaurant on the banks of the Urubamba River, where you can try trout or alpaca if you enjoy the culinary arts.

            The village of Ollantaytambo

The third stop is the town of Ollantaytambo, located 97 kilometers northeast of Cusco. During the period of the Inca Empire, it was a fortified city with temples and defensive walls. Today it is considered one of the most significant archeological sites in Peru and South America.

We will visit its fortress, learn about its history, and have the best views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

                The town of Chinchero

Finally, we will visit the town of Chinchero. This is one of the highest points in the valley with 3,772 meters above sea level (12,375 ft).

You will visit the traditional market, very colorful and with a great variety of handicrafts such as ceramics and typical Andean looms, and where bartering is still practiced today.
