Itinerary Full Day in San Cristóbal Galápagos Islands
The tour departs from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, place of departure and return of the boat that we will board. In this full day excursion to San Cristobal Galapagos Islands, we will visit three incredible destinations where you will be able to see birds and the typical fauna of the place, go fishing, take pictures, snorkel and enjoy a full lunch by the sea.
White Rose
This is the first place where we will disembark. Rosa Blanca is a small bay located northeast of the island of San Cristobal, is characterized by several small beaches and its main attraction is the large beach located in the center of the small bay where you can see a lot of dunes that together with its crystal clear waters create an attractive landscape unique to the area.
The entire bay of Rosa Blanca and its shallows is an ideal area for you to fish for some species such as: wahoo, palometa, ojon, liza and cod. There is also a great presence of sharks, rays and sea turtles that are the ideal complement for snorkeling activities. This first visit also includes a visit to the Rosa Blanca lagoon.
Sardine Bay
The disembarkation in Sardine Bay will be for artisanal fishing. It is characterized for being an ideal place for this activity since several species of sardines, liza, octopus, lobster, shrimp, among others, live there. Sardina Bay comprises two beaches whose attractions are its small white sand dunes and crystal clear waters ideal for snorkeling, taking into account that in this bay there is a large presence of sea turtles, rays and sea lions.
Sleeping Lion Rock
In this last part of the tour we will be able to snorkel in the Sleeping Lion Channel. The waters around the rock are home to numerous species of fish, sea turtles, rays and hammerhead sharks. It reaches a maximum height of 148 meters.
The Sleeping Lion Rock is also known as Kicker Rock. It is an uninhabited islet located 30 minutes from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, San Cristobal, Ecuador.
This is a rock formation or eroded cone of tuff (volcanic ash) located off the island of San Cristobal. It is a refuge for many seabirds such as blue-footed boobies, and is also home to sea lions.
After the activities of this itinerary we will return by boat to the dock to conclude our tour.
