Full Day Visit to the Plazas Islands

We start the tour at 7:30 am from your hotel with a drive to the "Canal de Itabaca" pier and continue this itinerary on board the yacht. 

The "Itabaca Channel" is composed of two crescent-shaped islands that lie just a few meters off the east coast of Santa Cruz.

On this Full Day tour in Islas Plaza you will have an attractive and colorful tour. The turquoise waters of the channel contrast with the bright white sand and black lava coastline. The rocks are covered with cactus in certain places, and the zayapa crab species stands out.

• North Island is only used for scientific purposes, while "South Plaza" (only 130 meters wide) is one of the smallest but richest of the archipelago. It was formed by volcanic magma, which gives it a unique quality of its kind. 

The destination we will reach is the channel between "North Plaza" and "South Plaza", where the island unfolds next to the sea. We will gradually make our way to the highest part of the island, to the canyons. From here we will be able to observe the ocean to the south, where we can see nests of seagulls, tropical birds, masked boobies and blue-footed boobies that follow the wind currents. The place is wonderful for observing marine life, including manta rays. It is an ideal time to snorkel and be able to contemplate all the marine life that inhabits these waters. You will also have a perfect view of a colony of sea lions that number almost a thousand. 

Once all the activities are done we will take you back to the dock.
